My horse decided to TRASH the taillight on my 2 horse bumper pull trailer back in February. I've never had to install a taillight, but decided there was no time like the present to just do it. Ordered this taillight. Relatively simple to install. I did need to cut some of the plastic off the wires included so I could make a good connection with the wires already on my trailer. I also shoved one of the wires in a little far, so didn't leave myself a lot to work with (my own fault). But, I had it installed with minimal muss and fuss (I probably spent more time finding the right size wrenches to get the OLD housing off my trailer), and it works wonderfully!

Light with an Actual Bulb Socket

I bought this product to replace an existing trailer light. I chose this product because it has a one-piece socket to securely hold the primary bulb. The light it replaced had a half-assed bulb holder which kept the bulb in contact with a couple of spring-loaded metal strips. It didn't work reliably. I think the Blazer product will be more reliable because of this difference. Also, the rectangular lens on the side light of this product is attached with screws vs. others where the lens snaps into place. The screw method reduces the likelihood of breaking the lens when removing it. Installation was easy, but you have to splice the wires on the light to the trailer wiring. So make sure you have some wire connectors (e.g. waterproof, crimp) or soldering supplies and heat-shrink tubing available.
